Over the weekend I finished a big chunk of the build, I finished most of the outside build and most of the mountain build, I just need to put in a few little bits of interior in some of the rooms.
I started off finishing off any of the larger tree houses for the build and the bridges that connected them. I did change the bridges a bit in my original plans the bridges where going to be hanging from tree to tree with no supports to keep them up, unlike in my build now that make sit seem like the bridges are more sturdy and are supported by poles that are connected to the ground. Another change I made with the tree houses was changing their location, originally they were supposed to be apart of the fairy-ring. I changed it to have them inside the ring because I felt like having them as apart of the ring made it too complicated, especially if I was going to make bridges between them when they were so closely packed together. I also added chimneys to the houses that weren't included in the plans.
The inside the treehouses is different to the plans too. The original plans for inside the houses was supposed to be for the mushroom houses, so there is lots of big differences. Firstly the walls are made from leaves and logs, unlike the plans where they are made from mushroom blocks. The interior is mainly the same except for the parts that have changed locations and the table that could not fit in the small area. The fireplace is mainly the same except that it is not onfire incase it accidently set fire to the build. The counters next to the fireplace where also added but not as whole blocks like in the plans but as slabs to give it more of a countertop feel instead of just being random blocks.
The outside of the build also changed a bit, I added in a stream that I did mention in my plans but I didn't add to the drawings. I also added in more plants of the green part of the outside. I still have to add in the mushroom rings that are shown in my plans. I also added in bridges across the stream in different areas.
I also built the larger mushrooms that are also houses. They are also connected to the trees by bridges. In my plans the mushrooms were supposed to be one colour (red) but I also added in brown mushrooms. It took me a really long time to make the mushroom houses, not because they were hard to build but it took me forever to find the blocks for it (I could've spawned it in but I decided to do it the hard way for some reason)
Firstly I tried to grow one of the giant mushrooms by fertilizing a mushroom but it wouldn't grow so I decided I was doing it wrong and couldn't be bothered to figure it out. I decided to worldedit it in my going //set but it only came out as one coloured block (brown), even when I tried to make it a red mushroom block. Because I didn't want to make it completely with worldedit because I wanted to mess around with the shape of the mushroom. So I tried to get the block by clicking the middle mouse button but when I did it didn't give me the block but just a mushroom. So I made a silk-touch pickaxe and went in survival and got the blocks using the pickaxe, but then I realised I needed to stalk block so I hunted down a mushroom. When I broke the stalk it would only give me a mushroom not the block even when I was using a silk-touch pickaxe. So I gave up and used another block that looked like the stalk called bone. I don't really know what the block is or what it's used for but it was a good replacement.
Inside the mushrooms have similar interior to the treehouses with a fireplace, counter, bed, a cot (which isn't in the treehouses) and some paintings/ windows and like the tree house it doesn't have a table/chairs like in the original plans.
I also added in an entrance to the outside build which was just quickly made from wooden slabs, stairs and some cobble walls and slabs. It's kind of messy and has some vines hanging off of it to give it more of an ancient effect.
I have also built the kitchen in the underground part of the build, it branches off of the throne room like in the plans but like the throne room I changed the colour scheme to make it more earthy and carved out looking instead of being more square shaped. The interior of the kitchen basically stayed the same except I added in a chandelier which wasn't in the original plans and some hidden lighting using glowstone in the same way I did in the throne room. I also added sword/shovel in frames across the walls, I was hoping they would look kind of like knives/pans or spoons.
I also started building the nursery but didn't get too far other than doing the same colours/carved out look as the throne room & kitchen, adding in some lighting from hidden glowstone blocks and a small chandelier (both weren't included in the original plan) and some cots made from wooden stairs. I will go over it later and make it more detailed.
I will need to add in the forcefield/bubble above the build at some point also.
